“Our love story is a journey filled with unforgettable moments, laughter, and adventure. Here’s how it all began and where it’s taking us.”
Chris and I met in Washington DC while he played for the Washington Redskins and I was a brand ambassador for Reebok in January of 2014. We were introduced when he was invited to a dinner my company (Reebok) was having for its newest brand ambassadors. We exchanged numbers but never pursued one another until Feb 28 2016, when I called him in the early hours after a night out with friends. During the phone call Chris revealed something to me that would touch my heart and keep me intrigued by what was to become of us. Chris being a GOD-fearing man, would ask for GOD to reveal what his dreams meant. In two days he usually would have any understanding of what he dreamt of and why. On the call he explained that two days before I called him he had dreamt about me. In this dream his mother was holding a curly hair baby and referencing to that baby as her grandchild. He and I were also in the dream surrounding her and the baby. Prior to this call Chris and I had never spoken on the phone. The call would fall on the second day of him having his dream. Was it fate? Well here we are 8 years later getting married, you be the judge.
Coming from a large family that was cultured in music & dance I live my life as it’s one big party. Unlike me, Chris spent most of his childhood on the football field, his escape from the daily routine of practice and training was to dive into the virtual world of video games. As we started to build our family we’ve incorporated both of our personalities. No matter if I’m cooking or cleaning you will hear music being played throughout our home or laughter from Chris and the kids playing video games in the great room. People ask us all the time “what’s our secret” and we simple reply “ finding balance and truly liking your partner”.
Chris is a country boy from Greenville, Florida and I’m city girl from Baltimore, MD. Our two worlds clashed in the beginning of our relationship. My strong energy was sometimes too much for Chris’s gentle demeanor. Throughout the years we’ve learned to accept our differences while nurturing our likeness. We love to travel the world together, try different foods from different cultures, binge watch our favorite shows, and spend time with our children. We’ve dedicated two times a year to travel out of the country. One trip is always for my birthday and the other a trip with our children before the new school year. Our goal has been to start traditions for our family that create memorable experiences. I’m an extrovert with a love for fun in the sun and a great party while Chris is an introvert that would much rather spend all his days in the house playing video games.
